On top of the Signature Website package investment, you will be responsible for purchasing/paying for the following:
• Squarespace Business Plan (website hosting with 20% off)
• Custom domain and/or email hosting
• Any copywriting / branding / photography needed for the site

The Signature Process

I would love to work with you if you are committed to the process, passionate about your business but willing to give me creative freedom according to your vision.

We will begin with an email chat/call or if you are local, a coffee. Once we've had that initial discussion about details, I’ll send you a quote to be approved.
You'll then receive the contract, followed by a 50% non-refundable invoice due before any work commences (required to book your spot on my calendar).

To make sure we have a strong base to build your project upon, I'll send you a questionnaire to fill out about your business, your audience and your vision. After you have filled it in, this will become our Project Brief and guide our creative direction for your project.

Once the brief is signed off on, you will send your content in a cloud folder (Dropbox or Google Drive) or in 1 x email so I can begin design drafting. This is an important step as while we will be working collaboratively, I’ll be relying on you to have your final content through, proofed and ready to go.

Where the magic happens! Using your brief as a guide, I will create concepts and draft out designs. Once sent for review, we will begin the x2 refinement/feedback rounds. You will have 3 business days to send feedback and I will make the edits from there until you are 100% happy with the look.

After you have signed off on any final designs, I will package your files into a cloud-based folder or transfer your new site to you, and complete the project. Then it’s time to celebrate! Once you begin to promote your new, elevated business, I will showcase it on my website / social media as I am your new, biggest supporter!

Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to have ready before a project starts?
You must have all content necessary for the project ready to go by our agreed upon start date unless discussed prior. Failure to do so could result in rescheduling the project to a later date and/or a restart fee.
Do you offer payment plans?
Payments are broken into two parts. There is a 50% non-refundable deposit that needs to be paid up front in order to secure your booking, and the 50% remainder that can be paid on the end date OR when the project is complete (whichever comes first).
Is my initial deposit refundable?
No. All deposits are nonrefundable as it is my way of securing your spot in the queue. I book projects several months ahead of time, and scheduling ensures that I give all of my clients the proper amount of time that a project deserves. As a result, I turn away clients for your reserved time slot. If you back out of the project, you may leave an empty spot that could have been given to another project. The deposits ensure that clients are serious about moving forward with the project.
Can you design me just a logo instead?
No, I believe strongly in the power of comprehensive branding and how it is the key to a sustainable, succesful business. Full branding (in the form of additional brand marks, typography, branding photography, colour palette etc) all aid your business presence and designing just a logo will not do your business the justice it deserves. For that reason, I only provide full branding packages at this time.
What happens if I am still not happy after 2 refinements rounds?
If for some reason you are still not happy after two rounds of refinement, we will continue the refinement process at my current hourly rate.
We go through an in-depth questionnaire and briefing process in the beginning to make sure we are on the same page, so 99% of the time 2 refinement rounds are plenty!
Can you create my design faster? Do you have a rush fee?
Short answer - possibly. Each project timeline has be thoughtfully created to give us enough time to do our research, for me to draft your design, and for us to go through the refinement rounds. However, there are some circumstances in which your project may be able to be turned around quicker if the situation allows. If you need a rush project, please let me know well in advance so I can create a custom quote based on your requirements and a rush fee may be added depending on the deadline and complexity of the project.
Do I need to book in advance?
I usually book about four weeks in advance, so I would recommend getting in touch with me as soon as you start thinking you need a designer and well before your deadline.
Why Squarespace? Can't you design a site on Wordpress/Shopify?
I wholeheartedly believe Squarespace is the best platform for MOST modern small to medium sized businesses. It is both beautiful and functional and has the flexibility, mobile responsiveness and ease of editing needed for those with any level of website content editing. At this time, I design solely on the Squarespace platform.
However I'm not saying it is the best platform for EVERY business as there are definitely cases where a Wordpress/Showit site may work better for your business, and definitely if you have large scale ecommerce needs then Shopify will be your best bet. In those situations I am always happy to point you in the direction of a Wordpress/Shopify designer who will fit your needs :)
